A company-sized unit of the German Bundeswehr is to arrive in Estonia in July. The unit's prep groups will arrive in Estonia already in June. The unit will remain in Estonia until the end of September.

The company's equipment will include Boxer infantry fighting vehicles. Except for a medical evacuation version of the Boxer used by Dutch troops that spent some time in Estonia to conduct training here at the beginning of last year, this will be the first time for Boxers to be used on Estonian soil.

A company-sized unit of the armed forces of Germany also took part in the Spring Storm military exercise in Estonia in May this year.
