Polish unit starts training in Estonia ({{commentsTotal}})

An infantry company of the Polish defense forces that recently arrived in Estonia started its training activities in Estonia, which included live fire shooting on the Sirgala training range this week.

The company of the Polish 7th Motorized Infantry Battalion that will be stationed at the Jõhvi base of the Estonian Defence Forces (EDF) until the end of this month practiced drills and action at the squad, platoon, and company level, the 1st Infantry Brigade of the EDF reported on its Facebook page.

The Polish troops also practiced live fire drills, using handguns as well as the 30-mm guns of their Rosomak armored carriers, as well as anti-tank grenade launchers.

Nearly 150 Polish soldiers arrived in Estonia on Jun. 30 from Latvia, where they had taken part in the Saber Strike exercise as well as various joint drills with U.S. and Latvian military. The unit will head to Lithuania in the beginning of August.
