The Ministry of the Interior confirmed on Thursday that the next 22 refugees Estonia is taking in under the terms of the EU’s distribution scheme will arrive soon. Half of them is currently in Turkey, the other half in Greece.

After their arrival, Estonia will have received 49 out of the 550 people it agreed to take in. In addition to the expected arrivals, another 15 applications were currently being processed, the ministry stated.

Estonia agreed in 2015 to receive 550 refugees under the conditions of the European Union’s redistribution program.
