Estonia's new defense attache in Russia, Col. Toomas Peda, presented his credentials at the Russian Ministry of Defence on Friday.
Estonia's new defense attache in Russia presented his credentials on Friday at the Russian Ministry of Defence, spokespeople for the Estonian Ministry of Defence said.
In June, Peda received a temporary military of title from President Toomas Hendrik Ilves for the course of his service.
Peda has a master's degree in organizational behavior from Tallinn University and has completed the Army Intermediate Command and Staff Course and the Joint Command and General Staff Course at the Baltic Defense College in Tartu.
He has served in various positions in the Kuperjanov and Pärnu Infantry Battalions and the Estonian Defence League's Pärnu Company, as chief of the Estonian contingent in Kosovo, at the Peace Operations Center and on the General Staff. He also has taught tactics at the National Defence College, and has served as a defense attache in Denmark and Norway.
