New Estonian PM's first foreign visits to be to Finland, Latvia ({{commentsTotal}})

Prime Minister Jüri Ratas' first foreign visit as the new Estonian head of state will take him to Finland, which will shortly thereafter be followed by a trip to Latvia.

"On Dec. 7, the Prime Minister will visit Finland, where he will meet with Finnish Prime Minister Juha Sipilä," government spokesperson Ave Tampere told ERR's online news portal. "On Dec. 9, the Prime Minister will visit Latvia, where he will take part in a meeting of the Baltic Council of Ministers together with his Latvian and Lithuanian colleagues."

Tampere added that from Dec. 14-16, Ratas will be in Brussels, where he will meet with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and President of the European Council Donald Tusk as well as attend a meeting of the European Council whose agenda will be focused on the issues of migration, security, economy and youth as well as external relations.
