UK's Brexit minister to visit Estonia next week
David Davis, the U.K.'s Secretary of State for Exiting the EU, is scheduled to make a brief visit to Estonia on Monday.
While in Estonia, Davis will meet with Marko Mihkelson, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and member of the EU Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu, as well as Matti Maasikas, Estonia's Deputy Minister of EU Affairs, spokespeople for the British Embassy told BNS.
Topics on the agenda of these meetings will include matters related to Brexit and cooperation opportunities for the two countries following the withdrawal of the U.K. from the EU.
Davis and Maasikas will also give a joint press conference.
Over the following days, Davis will also visit Latvia and Lithuania.
The Department for Exiting the EU was established in summer 2016 as the U.K. government responsible for overseeing negotiations relating to the U.K.'s withdrawal from the EU and establishing the future relationship between the U.K. and the EU. Davis has led the department since its inception.
