Traffic to be restricted during dress rehearsal, parade in Tallinn
Traffic around Tallinn's Freedom Square will be significantly restricted on Thursday evening and Friday morning due to the dress rehearsal and Independence Day parade.
Changes in traffic patterns surrounding Freedom Square will be in effect from 7 p.m. to midnight on Thursday, while restrictions will be in place from 8 a.m. through the end of the parade on Saturday, or approximately 4 p.m.
Traffic will likewise be restricted on Kaarli Avenue, Mere Avenue, Pärnu Highway and Georg Otsa Street, and public transport which normally travels through these areas will be rerouted during the dress rehearsal and parade.
Parking and traffic restrictions around Freedom Square will be marked by temporary road signs.
Columns of 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade vehicles participating in the parade began moving toward Tallinn on Wednesday morning already. These columns may affect regular traffic flow; the Estonian Defence Forces hope drivers in affected areas will be understanding.
