Gallery: President Kaljulaid lays wreath on grave of Konstantin Päts
President Kersti Kaljulaid laid a wreath on the grave of the first President of the Republic of Estonia Konstantin Päts in a ceremony held at Tallinn's Forest Cemetery.
While Kaljulaid has previously stated that she would not attend the dedication ceremony were a monument to Päts be built, on the day before the 99th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia she attended a ceremony at the Forest Cemetery, where many famous Estonian national and cultural figures are buried, and personally laid a wreath on Päts' grave.
In the course of the ceremony, wreaths were also laid on the graves of other high state officials.
