Kelly Sildaru wins halfpipe gold in junior wold championships
15-year-old Estonian champion skier Kelly Sildaru earned gold with 87.3 points at the Halfpipe Junior World Championships in Crans-Montana, Switzerland on Sunday.
Sildaru was awarded 88 points by two judges and 86 points by a third, securing her win after a single run, as foggy conditions did not allow for competitors to complete the usual three runs each.
American Svea Irving took the silver with 79 points and Russia's Valeria Demidova earned the bronze with 71.7 points.
