Elron's November ticket revenue grows 14 percent to €1.1 million
The ticket revenue of Estonian state-owned passenger rail operator Eesti Liinirongid AS, which operates under the Elron brand, increased 14 percent on year to €1.1 million in November.
The number of boardings in November was 641,000, up 11 percent on year, while the total number of boardings in the first 11 months of the year equaled 6.7 million, up eight percent compared to the same period last year, Elron said.
"We are also looking optimistically at December, as with the new schedule we have added an express connection on the Narva route and an additional departure on the Valga route, which gives passengers additional travel possibilities," company spokespeople said.
The Elron routes with the largest ridership last month were Tallinn-Paldiski with 123,000 boardings, Tallinn-Riisipere with 94,000 boardings, Tallinn-Tartu with 85,000 boardings, Tallinn-Aegviidu with 80,000 boardings and Tallinn-Keila with 52,000 boardings.
Elron provides public transport on electric and diesel trains on all train routes in Estonia.
