The British Ministry of Defense tried to stop publication of journalist Toby Harnden's war book "Dead Man Risen", citing top-level Estonian demarche over sensitive details. On March 16, Defense Minister Jaak Aaviksoo denied that anyone in his ministry had applied any pressure to the author or publisher. Two days later, a letter from the Estonian ministry surfaced, dated February 22, threatening Toby Harnden and his publisher with legal action.
