HeadRead Literature Festival Starts in Tallinn
Literature fans are polishing up their spectacles for the opening of the HeadRead (good lines) festival today, featuring Estonia's literary heavyweights as well as guests from the UK, Russia, Finland, Italy, Ireland, Sweden and Belarus.
The fifth annual festival has brought British playwright Tom Stoppard and Finnish writer Sofi Oksanen to Tallinn, and will run until the end of the week.
This year’s focus will be on popular science literature.
During the next five days a number of events will be organized including walking tours by Estonian authors, discussion panels, theater performances and literature cafes.
A full program in English can be found on the festival's website.
