E-Business Registry Launches English-Language Version
The e-Business Registry began keeping English-language records of company profiles as of this month.
The Justice Ministry said the translations will help companies save money and time needed to translate and validate records when sending them abroad to government agencies, business partners and potential investors.
“Until now, companies had to turn to sworn translators to get an English-language registration card, which takes time and additional costs,“ said Mehis Sihvart, director of the Center of Registers and Information Systems.
The e-Business Registry is an online database of records for companies, nonprofits and foundations.
“In a globalizing business environment, Estonia wishes to support its businesses and their relations with foreign markets, and this update is a small step in that direction,“ said Justice Minister Kristen Michal in a statement.
