Wood Pellet Terminal Sees First Shipment

The first shipment loaded at the recently-opened wood pellet terminal in Paldiski South Harbor is heading to Denmark today.
Construction of the attached million-euro warehousing site started in April, while the terminal itself was placed on an existing peat quay.
The facility was established by shipping agency ESTIVE, which also provides stevedore services at the harbor's other terminals.
According to Üllar Raad, a member of the board at ESTIVE, the terminal will allow the harbor to expand its existing range of products and increase storage capacity.
The terminal consists of two 2,700 square meter warehouses, a weighing system and new loading equipment.
