Estonian Air passenger numbers show increase
The national flag-carrier reported on Thursday that its passenger number increased by almost 14 percent in June, compared to the same period last year.
In the first six months, the airline has carried almost 276,000 passengers, a 7.3 percent increase from last year.
The most requested destinations in June were Nice, Berlin, Milan, Split, Vilnius, Trondheim and Oslo.
Last year was harsh for the company. Its 2014 revenue was 69.9 million euros, but net loss amounted to over 10 million euros.
In fall 2014, the carrier submitted a modified restructuring plan to the European Commission, based on the potential interest by a private investor.
Estonian Air is the biggest operator at Tallinn Airport, flying regular routes to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Moscow, St Petersburg, Kiev, Vilnius and Trondheim. Until October 2015, the company also operates seasonal flights to Munich, Paris, Berlin, Nice, Vienna, Split and Milan.
