Estonia Finishes 4th in Olympic Rowing Final
Estonia narrowly lost out on a medal at the London Olympics on Friday when its quadruple sculls rowing team took fourth in the final.
The crew, made up of Tõnu Endrekson, Andrei Jämsä, Allar Raja and Kaspar Taimsoo, came in with a time of 5:46.96, a result that put them 1.74 seconds behind bronze medal winner Australia.
Germany came in first place with a time of 5:42.48, while Croatia took silver with 5:44.78.
The crew sparked considerable interest among Estonia's Olympics watchers on Wednesday when they came second in their semifinal to advance to today's medals race.
The same Estonian rowing crew took silver at the 2011 European Rowing Championships in Plovdiv.
