Extreme Sports Center to Be Built Near Tallinn
Rae municipality has granted a building permit for a new extreme sports center in Peetri, two kilometers from Tallinn on the Tallinn-Tartu highway.
The new sports center will conform to international standards and have a UCI certified BMX course and a concrete skatepark. The indoor arena will accommodate a BMX training track and a full-sized skatepark, an inside track for mountain bikers, as well as trampolines and foam pits.
The planned center will be the first of its kind in Europe and is hoped to attract extreme sports fans from all home and abroad.
The project is run by the same people who organize the extreme sports event Simple Session.
The adventure sports center should open for visitors by the end of 2015 and the developers have applied for a funding from Enterprise Estonia.
