Why do so many Estonians feel left out of society?
The results of the recently published 2023 Integration Monitoring showed that whether a person feels they are part of the Estonian society does not depend solely on their native language, nationality or citizenship as every tenth Estonian also feels overlooked.

Gallery: XXI Dance Festival preparations kick off all over Estonia
Saturday marked the start of the XXI Dance Festival seminars to teach the performers the first dances. Agne Kurikoff Herman, the dance curator of the festival, said that the artistic committee symbolically hands over their work to the dance leads during the seminars, who will then "crochet together" the grand tapestry of the dance festival with their groups.

For the first time since the Ministry of Culture began conducting integration surveys in 2008, the proportion of Estonians who speak Russian, and Russians who speak Estonian, has leveled off at around 50 percent. The proportion of people who speak no Estonian at all has fallen to 4 percent.
