The real winners are the independents, as "34 percent of respondents said they had no preference." That only a fraction of them would vote for an independent candidate, simply means that there is currently no hopeful candidate being able to win their votes. Given the figures, its the independents that have become the new great pretenders of politics and they’ll be playing that up to the hilt in the next election. But on thing is for sure, this will be the most important election of our lifetimes changing things in a way that will inevitably lead to the election in 2017 being the most important of our lifetimes. By the way, should I assume that thos 34% do not vote? That would be sort of a "subversive" declaration of independents indeed, the independence from politics and their politicized issues alltogether for the natural right to be left alone.
