Estonian Appointed Delegate to Key UEFA Matches

UEFA has appointed the vice president of the Estonian Football Association as one of the eight delegates at the finals of the European championships this summer.
Ainar Leppänen will be the highest sporting authority monitoring the key meetings betweenf Netherlands-Germany (June 13), Portugal-Netherlands (June 17) and Netherlads-Denmark (June 9), to be played in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
A member of the UEFA legal committee, Leppänen has previously served as delegate to many UEFA Champions League and European League games and national deciders.
In 2011, he was the highest sporting authority at the Champions League semifinal between Schalke and Manchester United and a year before that at the European championship decider between Bosnia and Herzegovina and France.
The delegate is the highest decision-making authority at a given match, responsible for deciding security arrangements, among other issues.
