Paul Kuimet’s exhibition Perpendicular, which takes place in the two ground-floor halls of the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM), deals with the irreversible effects of time on objects, buildings and institutions.

Tartu Art House
Elmar Kits(1913-1972) is considered to have been one of the most prominent and prolific artists of Estonia. His 1966 personal exhibition, in which most of the 105 works were completed during the previous year, was the first triumph of abstract art in Estonia and one of the most important landmarks of the art innovation of the end of the 1960s. Kits' 1994 catalogue states, "This exhibition can be named the manifestation of modern art and one of the pinnacles of the art of the 1960s."

Exhibition of the best Estonian nature photos
Tallinn TV Tower
Riina Roosipuu, the director of the TV Tower, says that the iconic tower is the best venue for the exhibiting of the best Estonian nature photos, as the views from the tower complement the feeling one gets viewing the photos, offsetting the view depending on the weather and allowing many foreign visitors to enjoy the country's high-quality nature photography as well. Since 2000, Eesti Loodus magazine has organized 16 annual photography competitions. For this exhibition, 50 works have been selected from 80 award-winning photos of the last three competitions.

Theater festival "Midwinter Night's Dream"

"Midwinter Night’s Dream" is not a Shakespeare festival, although the name might imply it; the phrase simply refers to the magic time between Christmas and New Year, when anything is possible. The idea for the festival was born after the City Theatre had moved into its freshly-renovated new wing.

Street dance festival "Battle of EST"
Vanemuine Concert Hall, Tartu
"Battle of EST" (BOE) is the oldest street dance competition with the most impressive list of performers in Northern Europe. The main events include breakdance team competitions, but one can also enjoy hip-hop, popping and solo b-boying contests.
