Estonian Culture Festival Enlightens French
A two-month long festival introducing everything Estonian to France is the biggest cultural project yet to tie the two nations.
The festival starts on October 7 with an a capella concert by the Estonian National Male Choir at the church of St. Eustache in downtown Paris.
The main program is titled "Estonie tonique," and includes more than 50 events in Paris and Amiens.
Around 200 performers and artists will show off their distinctly Estonian talents in a versatile program that should cater to the tastes of everyone.
Visitors can indulge in pop, jazz, folk, or classical music that has been added to the main repertoire of the Orchestre de Paris.
The French can also look forward to theater performances, architecture, art, and the 100th anniversary of Estonian film.
