Tallinn Zoo Features World's Smallest Monkeys
The chimpanzees living in the tropics house of the Tallinn Zoo received 12 distant cousins - pygmy marmosets - as new neighbors.
The tiny monkeys who measure just an average of 35 centimeters from the tip of the nose to end of the tail are quite zippy, while the greenish hue of their fur serves as good camouflage against predators.
In their native habitat in South American forests, pygmy marmosets spend most of their lives in the tree branches, rarely coming down to the ground.
