Nationwide Film Project Finds Leading Actors
A feature-length science fiction film to be produced for the 100th anniversary of Estonian cinema has taken a step closer to becoming a reality on the big screen - the leading actors have been found.
Casting for the film was carried out in the form of a nationwide reality show that attracted hundreds of young amateur hopefuls. A professional jury and television audiences decided their fates. The show's final winners, and hence the stars of the film, were picked on May 24.
The apocalyptic mocumentary will tell the story of a group of people trying to accomplish their last tasks before the end of the world. The story will be shot by 40 camera operators in 14 counties throughout Estonia, with filming carried out from July 20 to August 29.
In total, around 10,000 volunteers will take part in the 320,000-euro project, which should be ready by November 11.
