Tallinn Music Week Attracts Crowds of Performers
Organizers are making preparations for Tallinn Music Week as the application period for performers came to an end.
Open to all genres, the festival has received applications from 418 bands and musicians from 23 countries, including 54 from Finland.
Slated for March 29 to 31, the festival will be the fourth consecutive year and will be held in venues big and small all over Tallinn.
Kristo Rajasaare, program director, said interest has grown rapidly since the festival was first established, now attracting big names from Europe and drawing the attention of the international press.
“We aim to show our home audience the newest and most exciting Estonian music, to introduce our best artists to the international music industry and press, and to assist Estonian music companies in expanding to foreign markets,” said Rajasaare.
