Jazzkaar Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
The jazz festival Jazzkaar is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, treating the audiences to 55 concerts in 11 cities and towns from April 18-25.
The festival will come to Tallinn, Tartu, Viljandi, Pärnu, Narva, Haapsalu, Kuressaare, Otepää, Valga, Türi, Rapla and Laulasmaa.
Estonian highlights include the premiere of the work “Lend nr JK025“, specifically composed by Ülo Krigul, and concerts by Maria Faust, the Tõnu Naissoo Trio and Vaiko Eplik with Kristjan Randalu.
The impressive list of foreign acts boasts Cassandra Wilson, the Pat Metheny Unity Group, the Portico Quartet and Mount Kimbie.
