Toom's 'The Confession' Among Oscar Nominees
From a field of 83, Estonian director Tanel Toom's short film "The Confession" (Pihtimus) was chosen in the final five for the Oscar category of Best Live-Action Short Film.
"The Confession" is the story of Sami, a quiet boy who worries over his first confession. Because his conscience is clear, he cannot expect relief after confession. Together with his friend Jacob, the two decide to fix that problem and an innocent caper turns to an unexpected tragedy.
