Saturday, August 29, saw a thousand bonfires light up the shores of the Baltic Sea on the Night of the Ancient Lights.

The bonfire night aims to celebrate the unity of coastal and seafaring peoples and connect the Finno-Ugric and other coastal nations with each other and their shared history.

According to the Night of the Ancient Lights official website, over 30,000 people took to 914 locations to light a bonfire and enjoy each other's company. Concerts and other events also took place across the country.
