The Finnish-Estonian production "The Fencer" is not among the nominees for the best foreign language film Oscar, which will be handed out on Feb. 28.

The following are the nominees for the best foreign language film: "Embrace of the Serpent" (Colombia), "Mustang" (France), "Son of Saul" (Hungary), "Theeb" (Jordan) and "A War" (Denmark).

The other films of the nine productions shortlisted for best foreign language film that didn't make the list of nominations, in addition to "The Fencer," were Belgium's "The Brand New Testament," Ireland's "Viva" and Germany's "Labyrinth of Lies."
