Tallinn Music Week Program Announced: Pussy Riot in Town Next Weekend
As indie music extravaganza Tallinn Music Week gears up for next weekend, a non-musical part of the program has perhaps created the most buzz.
On Friday, March 28, at 11:00, right after President Toomas Hendrik Ilves opens the festival, "Culture Riot: artists and music against totalitarian rule" presents an interview with the members of Pussy Riot. The interviewer will be Artemyi Troitsky.
Other top guests announced today are Estonia's best known pop star, Kerli; musician and author Bob Stanley; and Robert Levine, former Billboard EIC and author of "Free Ride."
The festival website is http://tmw.ee/. Both an indoor music festival and an industry conference with several subprograms, Tallinn Music Week brings together around 800 music industry players, the artist lineup presents more than 200 Estonian and international acts from diverse musical genres, attracting an enthusiastic audience of nearly 20, 000 music lovers from Estonia and its neighboring countries.
