Patti Smith Arrives, Due to Hold Book Signing
Rock icon, singer and poet Patti Smith, who is performing tonight in Tallinn, gave airport interviews last night and is due at a city center book store at noon today to sign books and albums for fans.
Smith, who has released 11 studio albums since rising to prominence in the 1970s, will be at the Rahva Raamat bookstore at 12:00 to meet and sign copies of her literary works, such as her acclaimed autobiography from 2010, "Just Kids."
Show time is 19:00 at the Nordea Concert Hall in Solaris Center. Doors open at 18:00.
In remarks to ETV last night, Smith stressed her identity as a writer and spoke how her voice was shaped by a perceived need to serve as a counterweight to stadium and glam rock.
