Telliskivi Creative Center Eco-Convention Promotes Green Lifestyle
The third Ökomäss convention opens today at the Telliskivi creative center in Tallinn, starting three days of free events and workshops promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle and alternatives for consumer society.
At 15:00 today, Minister of the Environment Keit Pentus-Rosimannus will give opening remarks at an eco-materials exhibition. At 18:00, a native American teepee will be erected and enthusiasts can get tips from the experts.
Seminars will be held on topics such as cultural heritage, energy efficient building, and insulation in historical stone houses.
On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can become acquainted with traditional trades such as carpentry, restoration, architecture and furniture renovation. There will also be a children's program, music and films.
All events are free, but some require registration.
