Kaljuste Wins Best Choral Performance Grammy
At last night's ceremony, Estonian conductor Tõnu Kaljuste won a Grammy for a choral performance of Arvo Pärt's "Adam's Lament."
Neeme Järvi was also nominated in the category, Best Choral Performance, for his interpretation of Hubert Parry's Works for Chorus & Orchestra.
In what was a good year for Estonian classical music, Kaljuste was also nominated in the Best Opera Recording Category, Järvi in the Best Orchestral Performance and Arvo Pärt in the Best Contemporary Classical Composition.
