Tallinn Maritime Days starts
Maritime parade of ships will entertain city inhabitants and visitors as part of Tallinn Maritime Days, running from July 17-19.
The grand maritime parade can be watched from Pirita promenade, port area and from Linnahall on Saturday evening, starting at 19:00.
The event will include more than 80 vessels, including the Swedish and Finnish sailing ships Gerda, Tre Kronor and Linden, and Estonia's own sea beauty Kajsamoor.
In addition to the parade, there will also be a bicycle ride, which means that several hundred cyclists will shadow the parade by land. The boats and bicycles will all start off at Pirita Harbour and finish at the Sea Plane and Old City Harbours.
The squadron voyage will be followed by a magnificent opera gala featuring Estonian opera stars and the Estonian National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
The grand Saturday night will finish with fireworks and laser show on the sea.
