The 10th tARTuFF open air film festival pleased around 19,500 film lovers this year with free screening of 14 romantic films and four documentaries. Although the most popular screening was that of “Sex Therapy” from Australia, the audience award went to British drama “X+Y”.

The film by Morgan Matthews stars Asa Butterfield, Rafe Spall and Sally Hawkings and tells the story of a socially awkward teenage math prodigy who lands a spot on the British squad at the International Mathematics Olympiad.

Matthews will be presented with a bronze statuette of the “Kissing Students”, one of Tartu's main symbols.

The film festival came to an end on Saturday. In addition to tradition screening on the town hall square, the festival program also featured a first ever night cinema in the ruins of the cathedral.

In addition, the program also included workshops, discussions and a Love Party in Rotalia house.
