2 Estonians to Participate at International Modern Music Festival
Works of two Estonian composers, Helen Tulve and Tatjana Kozlova, will be performed at the international contemporary music festival World Music Days 2012.
The festival will feature Tulve's work titled "silences/larmes" for soprano, oboe and wine goblets. Kozlova will be represented by "Horisontaalid" ("Horizontals") for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, percussion instruments and piano.
The annually held festival, hosted by the International Society for Contemporary Music aims to provide a platform for modern composers all over the world to showcase their works. The undertaking will take place next year from October 25 to November 4 in different Belgian cities, ERR radio reported.
Last year, Estonian contemporary music was represented by Tõnu Kõrvits's Canon for children's/female choir and Ülo Krigul's Chorale Fantasy for 100 alarm clocks.
