At the Dota 2 Championships international gaming tournament in Seattle last weekend, a Tartu native and his team Natus Vincere came in second place, winning 632,370 dollars.
Clement Ivanov, 23, known under his gaming alias Puppey, has now become the fourth highest earning computer games player in the world, reported Postimees.
Last weekend's competition had an award fund of 2.8 million dollars, the biggest in gaming history.
The tournament was won by a Swedish team, which received 1.4 million dollars in prize money, while a US team came third. Ivanov personally raked in 126,474 dollars.
Dota 2 is an online multiplayer game that is set in a fantasy world.
