Nationwide Film Project Goes on the Road
The shooting team for the feature-length science fiction film, produced for the 100th anniversary of the Estonian moving pictures, was solemnly sent off to the movie’s first location in the seaside town of Haapsalu on August 2.
The apocalyptic mocumentary will tell the story of a group of people trying to accomplish their last tasks before the end of the world. The story will be shot with around 40 cameramen in all 15 counties of Estonia.
Around 50 driving participants are expected to take part in the first mass scene in Haapsalu, where the aim is to create a traffic jam. The largest mass scene, with 10,000 people, is scheduled for August 27 in Jõgeva County.
During the shooting period, workshops and special lectures on film and production will also be held in each county.
The 320,000-euro traveling movie project is part of the European Cultural Capital program and the outcome should make it on the big screen by early November.
