Estonian Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Choir Head to US for Concert Tour
The Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir are preparing for a concert tour in the United States.
Led by conductor Neeme Järvi, the two groups of performers will put on shows both separately and together, reported ETV.
They depart on Monday, with 15 concerts scheduled in eight states on both east and west coasts.
The tour will culminate in New York on November 10, when the two musical groups cross paths. Taking the stage at the Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, the orchestra and the choir will hold a joint program.
Orchestra director Kadri Tali said each concert will have a slightly different repertoire, including works by both Arvo Pärt and Veljo Tormis.
