Arvo Pärt Center Architecture Competition Draws 71 Entries
A competition to design a Arvo Pärt enter near Tallinn had collected 71 entries from two dozen nations by yesterday's deadline.
The center will be built on the Lohusalu peninsula, 25 kilometers west of Tallinn, the International Arvo Pärt Center said in a press release today.
Besides holding archives devoted to Pärt, perhaps the nternationally most well-known living Estonian, the center will also organize exhibitions, performances and conferences.
A jury will pick the top 20 designs for the next round on February 23, with the winner to be announced on June 20.
