Estonia Placed in Second Semifinal Group at Eurovision
The Estonian entry in this year's Eurovision Song Contest has been slated for presentation in the second semifinal show, due to take place in Baku on May 24, a drawing has determined.
Estonia will compete in that round with 18 other countries: Serbia, Sweden, Georgia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Macedonia, Belarus, Turkey, Malta, Slovakia, Croatia, Norway, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Armenia, Lithuania and Bulgaria.
The ten winners of that contest, along with the ten who qualify during the first semifinal contest two days prior, will compete in the grand final in the Baku Crystal Hall on May 26.
Host country Azerbaijan, along with the European Broadcasting Union's biggest funders Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the United Kindom, have automatic berths in the final.
Estonia's own Eurovision entry will be selected in ETV's Eesti Laul 2012 competition, which has its own semifinals taking place February 18 and 25. The Eesti Laul final will be held March 3.
