Eesti Laul semifinalists announced: Cartoon, Põhja-Tallinn, Laura make the cut

The 20 songs which will participate in the Eesti Laul competition have been named. Two semi-finals in February and a grand final in March will pick the winner of the competition, who will then represent Estonia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden.

A 11-strong panel picked the 20 songs from 238 entries – a record for Eesti Laul.

Anne Veski, one of the 11 judges, said the songs have gotten better. She said nearly all of the judges agree on which songs will probably make it to the top three.

The first semi-final will take place on February 13 and the second a week later, on February 20. The final, which will take place in Saku Suurhall, is set for March 5.
