US action movie actor Steven Seagal will take part in the Augustibluus Festival in Haapsalu at the beginning of August with his band, the Steven Seagal's Blues Band.

Although more known as an actor, Seagal, 62, has been involved in music far longer, playing since the age of 12. He has released two albums, "Songs From the Crystal Cage" and "Mojo Priest", both in the last 10 years.

Seagal, a martial arts expert and a star of action movies like Under Siege, is also known to be an avid supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying Putin is “one of the great living world leaders.” He also labeled Russia's annexation of Crimea as “very reasonable.”

Seagal, who has 45 acting credits to his name, got tongues wagging in the entertainment world in June when he was quoted as saying he would not take part in the successful movie action franchise The Expendables, which has starred actors such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jet Li and Jason Statham, saying that he didn't like the people involved enough.

"I just didn't like some of the people involved ... Life is too short to work with funny people," he said.
