Savisaar unveils Christmas book for children (7)
Tallinn Mayor Edgar Savisaar unveiled a children's book in Tallinn's Old Town Square on Saturday, entitled “A Christmas Miracle.”
Savisaar commandeered a hut at the Christmas market meant for Santa Claus for the occasion. He said the books protagonist is a herbal healer named Maara and the book has been dedicated to his three children and four grandchildren.
Savisaar has penned over a dozen books, some of which have come under scrutiny for irregular funding. Speaking about the funding for “A Christmas Miracle,” Ain Saarma, the head of the city's public relations, said elves financed the book, adding that to his knowledge, the book received no financial support from the city.
The book has been published by Fixor Holding, a company run by Savisaar's son, Erki.
