183 Performers to Hit Tallinn Music Week Stage
Organizers of Tallinn Music Week announced yesterday that over 183 bands and solo performers from 13 countries will be participating at the three-day festival starting March 29.
The gigs will be held on 27 stages located both in traditional venues as well as spots previously unvisited by the festival. For example, matinee concerts will be given in shopping centers, restaurants, hotels and museums.
The festival will open with a gig by Iiris, who will present her debut album at Rock Cafe in downtown Tallinn. She will be sharing the stage with her special guests, the Finnish indie band Rubik.
Foreign performers include talents such as Husky Rescue from Finland, Lithuania's noted singer-songwriter Alina Orlova, Russia's alternative rock band Motorama, British solo artist and producer Napoleon Illrd, Austrian indie group Diver and many others.
During the festival, the grassroots entrepreneurial development foundation Garage48 will organize a 48 hour prototype development competition for web- and mobile-based music and entertainment products.
