Jüri Pootsmann wins Eesti Laul 2016
Pootsmann won this year’s final, which took place on Saturday. His next stop is Stockholm, where he will compete in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in May. First and second runners-up were Mick Pedaja and Cartoon feat. Kristel Aaslaid.
In Eesti Laul’s grand finale on Saturday, the winner was chosen based on the jury’s votes as well as the support of the viewers. Over 73,000 viewers called in and voted for their favorite candidate.

Pootsmann’s next stop is the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Stockholm this year. The semifinals of the contest are scheduled for May 10 and 12, the final for May 14.
The final show of Eesti Laul 2016 was broadcast live on the Eurovision Song Contest’s website and seen by a worldwide audience.
