Estonian production to be featured in Festival d'Avignon for the first time
Festival d'Avignon will present in its 2015 program Theatre NO99's production My Wife Got Angry With Me and Deleted All The Pictures From Our Holidays, directed by Tiit Ojasoo and Ene-Liis Semper. NO99’s comedy is the first Estonian production to be presented at Festival d’Avignon.
Festival d'Avignon is thought by many specialists to be one of the leading theatre festivals in Europe and in the world, and is renowned for its international focus. Estonian theatre expert Madli Pesti said that the significance of the main artistic program of Festival d’Avignon for its field is comparable to that of the Oscars for the film industry.
The festival was founded in 1947 by Jean Vilar.
The 69th Festival d’Avignon will take place in Provence, France, from July 3-26.
