Southeastern Town to Undergo €5 Million Street Upgrade
The southeastern town of Võru will be swamped with road workers this summer as the city undergoes several major road reconstruction projects simultaneously.
Once completed, the work will bring a number of changes to the traffic set-up of the town of 13,000, including turning all one-way streets into two-way streets, ETV reported today.
“We adjusted it so that funding for all projects would be available at exactly the same time so we could finish everything in one go [...],” said Kersti Kõosaar, the city's deputy mayor.
The town's main street, the Friedrich Kreutzwaldi road, is among the central streets slated for reconstruction.
The total cost of the projects is five million euros.
