Producer price index of Estonia's industrial output down 1% on year in July
In July 2016, the producer price index of Estonia's industrial output decreased by 0.3 percent compared to June 2016 and by 1 percent compared to July 2015.
Compared to the previous month, the producer price index was influenced more than average by a decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and mining, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment, fuel oils and chemicals.
Compared to July 2015, the producer price index was influenced more than average by a decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, mining and the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment.
In July 2016, the export price index declined by 0.2 percent compared to June 2016, and by 1.1 percent compared to July 2015. Compared to the previous month, the prices of peat products, oil products and parts and accessories for motor vehicles decreased more than average, while the prices of electricity, building materials as well as electronic equipment increased more than average.
The import price index decreased by 0.8 percent compared to June 2016 and by 3.4 percent compared to July 2015. Compared to the previous month, the prices of electricity, oil products and furniture decreased more than average in July, while the prices of agricultural products, building materials and other manufacturing products increased more than average.
