Head of president's office to continue on Estonian Railways supervisory board
The recently appointed Director of the Office of the President, Tiit Riisalo, will, for the time being, continue working on the supervisory board of the state-owned railway company Estonian Railways.
Riisalo was appointed to the supervisory board of the state-owned railway company at the proposal of the Minister of Finance, a member of junior coalition parter Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL).
"As a good specialist in the field of railway and transport, Tiit Riisalo will, for the time being, continue work on the supervisory board of Estonian Railways," Minister of Finance Sven Sester told BNS.
Sester said he had agreed with Riisalo that if it turned out his workload in his new position prevented him from making the necessary contributions on the railway company's board, he would vacate his seat and Sester would appoint a new member in his stead.
Riisalo was a member of IRL until Oct. 10, but left the party after being appointed head of the president's office. He is a former secretary general of the party.
